The origins of ARTENAYAC can be traced back to my days in high school, when my interest in stones and jewelry arose while I observed the work of artisans and jewelers and frequented the Geology Museum in Mexico City. 

I started with fashion jewelry by stringing simple necklaces and working some leather making bags and wallets. fun. Some time later I had the opportunity to take a lapidary course at the museum, and it was as if I was transported to another world where suddenly the words simply disappeared, leaving only flashes of thousands of colors and strange shapes never seen before by me. eyes. That was the first time I could feel a stone and how wonderful it is. So one day they offered me a jewelry course for a week. I had the opportunity to observe how to create and finish a piece of jewelry. I began to play with the shape of silver and stones and learned to hold a torch in one hand and a clamp in the other. After many hours of practice, cuts and bruised fingers, the first pieces of jewelry began to appear. 

Then I realized that it was a gift for me, and that I had learned something beautiful in such a short time because it was my time to learn it. One week was enough to create mineral art, strange designs, shapes and colors. In seven days I learned that jewelry is my passion. It is what I want to do all my life.
